Months of Neglect (Part 2) July 2019 and the Midwest
Wow, this is like condensing the universe into a single atom which, by the way, is a wonderful book that I read last month (November 2019) by the Dali Lama. It would have been best to keep this up to date as the trip progressed, back in the summer. Right now I’m experiencing summer, visiting the last state for 2019. Here I am with the time and disposition to update.
I left Utah in July and drove to Laramie Wyoming where I interviewed Darwin, my first July interview. I created a little synopsis video of my interviews up until the end of July called Dreamcatcher Update. I’ll say it’s below, but not all the pics and videos end up in the same places on computers, iPads and phones. Anyway, July was a wonderful month where I traveled from Wyoming to New York, meeting people who I will never forget. I was treated like royalty by Couchsurfing and AirBnB friends as well as by my children in Iowa and Michigan.
The video pretty much summarizes the whole trip to July 31 so I’ll not do much more explaining. I’ll be happy to reply if you have questions or comments about people or places you see on the video.
I thought some images of the people and places along the way might be interesting. Seeing the faces and places bring tears of gratitude and affection. I want toreach out to everyone, including the service station attendant, young asian girl, who thought the old man, me, might need help at the self-service pump in Cody, Wyoming.
